Adam Braddock (1812 - 1882)
and
Elzire Leak Braddock (1817 - 1878)

Adam and Elzire are buried next to each other. Unfortunately, Elzire's headstone has been destroyed, but her footstone is intact. Given the alignment of the footstones and the one existing base, it almost looks as if the top of Adam's headstone has been leaned up against the base of Elzire's headstone.

Adam's footstone is to the left of the tree. Elzire's is to the right, more submerged.

"Adam Braddock born May 17 1812 died Dec 12 1882"

In The Death and Cemetery Records of Lamar County, Texas by Ron Brothers, the dates given for Elzire Braddock are 26 Jan 1817 - 3 Nov 1878. There is also a note that says "Records of Elizabeth Booth show death date as 31 March 1877." HOWEVER, something is still awry! Adam and Elzire Braddock are enumerated in the 1880 census in Cooke county TX, along with their youngest children Robert J. and Thomas G. Braddock. They are 7 families away from son William L. Braddock and family. I haven't found the source of the earlier death dates in order to figure out what's what.
