1st Generation

Judith was born 12 Nov 1760. Her twin Jane died in October 1814.

	THOMAS EVANS 1790-1845 Thomas Evans was the husband of Jane Beverly Daniel, daughter of Martha Daniel and husband George Daniel. Martha was the daughter of Chesley Daniel, founder of Tranquility. Martha Daniel moved her family to Marion SC after her husband's death in 1811. Thomas was visiting from SC when he died. This is a modern marker - I don't know if it replaced an older one.

Nathaniel Beverley Daniel was the son of Nathaniel Chesley Daniel and Ann Harriet Bullock Bill Seay explains: "These were my great grandparents. She is the subject of a book entitled A Remembrance of Eden: Harriet Bailey Bullock Daniel's Memories of a Frontier Plantation in Arkansas, 1849-1872, editied with an introduction by Margaret Jones Bolsterli, The Univ. of Arkansas Press, Fayetteville, 1993. It was commisioned by Dr. Bailey Webb. I have a copy and it is a neat read. By the way Nat and HBBD were first cousins."

The above couple were first cousins. William Richard Daniel's father (Nathaniel Beverly Daniel) and Lucy's father (Samuel Venable Daniel) were brothers, sons of Nathaniel Chesley Daniel and Anne Harriet Bullock.

The above three, Margaret Cole Morton, Annie Venable Morton and Frank B. Morton, were the children of Nathaniel Daniel Morton, son of Joseph Morton and Anne Eliza Daniel, the daughter of Nathaniel Chesley Daniel and Anne Harriet Bullock.

The above brothers were 6th generation Tranquility Daniels on their father's side and 7th generation on their mother's.

COLEMAN 1918 Wilma Coleman was the daughter of Sara Morton Daniel who was the daughter of Nathaniel Beverley Daniel and Harriet Bailey Bullock. Bill Seay explains: Sara Morton Daniel (my maternal grandmother) b. 10 Apr 1878, d. 20 Jul 1956, m. 15 Jul 1910 to James Franklin Coleman of Soddy, TN. James, a Davidson College graduate, was a Presbyterian minister who upon completing his course at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA in 1909 took his first church at the Grassy Creek Presbyterian Church in Stovall, NC and supposedly also preached at other churches in the area. It was while here that he met Sara. They had one child at Stovall, then two in Morganfield KY, then one in Diana TN (my Mom) then two in Roswell Ga, (one died), then one in Millboro Springs VA. He took his last church in Murat VA and retired in Buena Vista VA where they both resided until their deaths. Wilma...died in Roswell GA during the Spanish Flu epidemic of 1918. Her folks were not able to accompany her body to Tranquility due to Rev. Coleman, my grandfather, conducting 3 to 4 funerals a day at the time. Her stone is an infant stone maybe 1 and 1/2 feet tall with a lamb on top.
7th Generation There are several 7th generation people noted in the above groups, either by descent from one of their parents, or spouses of 6th generation folks.
