Recently, George Thomas of Raleigh, North Carolina, working from a different direction, has made what has to be the breakthrough on this line, locating a Charles Love with his probable parents (James Love, Jr. and Mary Ingram) and "Ferve" Osborne, daughter of Christopher Osborne as named in his will, the families being near and involved with each other in Mecklenburg county. This time, the evidence is beyond compelling. As well, even more namesakes are accounted for.
This is one of those really thrilling breakthroughs that all Love researchers in this line will be raving about. I highly recommend you to Mr. Thomas' site, his research is thorough, his writeups are excellent. He still feels there is more work to do to declare this line proven, but I'm sure you will realize as you read his work that the line has been found, as well as a wonderful new set of ancestors to research through both Charles and Fereby. I'm looking forward to helping to firm up this line.
I regret that I have perpetuated the Amos line too strongly here, and certainly wish I had marked it as tenuous. But I'm so excited to get to research and re-wire my records and web pages to reflect this new information. Another bit of good news is that this line will still lead back to the same Ingram and Waddy lines, just via a different route.
So, a BIG THANK YOU to George!! Enjoy your visit to his pages, but don't forget to come back and visit me again!
