[So where has John Daniel of the 112a, son of Mathew gotten to? There is a John Daniel in Caswell 1820 with 0-0-0-2-1-0/no females, not likely him. I think it's likely John is on the road to somewhere else. In the Monroe TN family that I am proposing is his, the daughter Rachel was b. 1814/5 TN.

[Pronunciation of Dannel for Mathew. Are these 2 guys age 20-30 sons of John Daniel (s/o Mathew), is one of them John (1809-1860)? The migration path from NC to Monroe to Wayne and Tishomingo is nice looking. Unfortunately, the other male could also be the Calvin Daniel who ends up in Haywood TN in 1840, he's again in the 20-30 column. But that could be John b. 1780 at age 50 with Elizabeth age 53. Not sure of the Robert, i.e. could he be that loose Robert in the Person County Tax Lists or another line come into the county.]

John Daniel in Monroe TN p.190a has 0-0-0-1-0-0-0-0-1/0-0-0-2-0-0-0-0-1, good ages for John b. 1780 (s/o Mathew), he's next to a young Jerry Daniel. The boy and 2 girls are perfect fits to be the children of the Mathew of 1830, so he has probably died. He can't be the Mathew in Burke Co GA with 1-2-0-0-0-0-1/0-1-0-0-1, bad age, and I don't think so based on the 1850 Burke census.
There's another John Daniel in Monroe p. 145b, with 1-0-0-0-1/1-0-0-0-1.
Calvin Daniel in Haywood TN with 0-0-0-0-1/0-1-0-1, he may be in Upshur Co TX for 1850 census.
Green Daniel is in Pittsylvania, 1-0-0-0-1-0-0-1/0-0-0-0-1-0-0-1 [looks like with just the one son from 1830 and his own family?

TN Monroe p. 31b - Elizabeth Danels age 73 b. VA, living (looks like with daughter) Rachael Ragan 35 b. TN and her husband Thomas Ragan 39 b. NC.
[She's almost surely the widow of John Daniel of the 1830 Monroe census, and is the daughter a namesake for Rachael Satterfield Daniel, wife of old Mathew and mother of John?] If this is the Person County family, then this would be Elizabeth "Patsy" Yarborough of the 1806 marriage to John Daniel. And lastly, the Ragan surname: William Green Daniel (b. 1836), son of John (b. 1809) and Nancy Daniel, married a Rebecca Jane Ragan.
Mathew Daniel b. 1786 is still in Person NC with wf Elizabeth, kids Rachel, Calvin, Emily, Green.
The Mathew Daniels of IL White is age 40, has son Calvin. A possible good fit for the 1830 Monroe Co Mathew, but there are a lot of Daniel families that get to White Co IL, so I don't really know if this is any good.
Green and Elizabeth Daniel are alone in 1850 Pittsylvania VA and there are tons of other Daniel lines around, I haven't id'd who his son is from 1840.]

William T. Wallace, retail liquor dealer, was born in Johnson County, Ark., February 10, 1849, and is a son of Vincent and Ruth (Suggs) Wallace. The father was born in Benson County, N. C., in 1815 [there is no Benson NC, is this an error for Person?], and was a farmer and minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The great-grandfather, William Wallace, was a Revolutionary soldier, and according to the family tradition was of Scottish parentage. He was twice married. His second wife became the mother of several sons, who went West, and settled perhaps in Tennessee. His first wife's maiden name was Ferguson, who became the mother of two sons: Orren and Robert, the latter of whom was the grandfather. On account of real or imaginary mistreatment by his step-mother he left home as soon as he became large enough to find employment, and went to work for daily wages. He had had the benefit of but two weeks' education at school, but during leisure hours acquired sufficient education to transact such business as pertained to his occupation. His energy in business and faithfulness to his employers soon gave him a reputation as a farm manager, and his services were sought and liberally paid for by such men as Jesse Dickens and James Paine, wealthy planters of Person County, N. C. Feeling the embarrassment of a limited education he made an extra effort to send his children to school, of whom there were twelve of one mother, whose name before marriage was Jane Smith Daniel. Her father, Mathew Daniel, came from or near Petersburg, Va. His mother's maiden name was Smith. Her mother's maiden name was Rachel Satterfield, whose mother was a Jay. After Rachel's death Mathew Daniel married a lady whose name was Agnes Marr. She had first been married to a Mr. Perkins, and after his death became the second wife of Dr. Paine, the father of James Paine, of Person County, N. C., who was the father of the late Robert Paine, bishop of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South. The children of Robert and Jane Wallace were Elizabeth, Lucy, Greene, Vincent, Orren, Emily, Rachel, Jane, William, Robert, Jr., Martha and George. Robert, Sr., is said to have been a kind and indulgent father, though firm in his family government. A man of ready wit, who took delight in repartee. He died October 8, 1846, being about seventy-two years of age, and was a member of the
